Until We Meet Again

Today my hubby and I attended the funeral of our friend Dave. It was an emotional day. Dave passed away Christmas Eve morning. He had said that he would be celebrating Christmas with the King of Kings and he was right.

Dave knew this day was coming and had planned his funeral so his family wouldn't have to. He chose the music, the readings and asked those who he wanted to speak. It made it that much more emotional to know that he planned it all. Each song and reading reflected his unwavering faith and his joy in the Lord.

He will be missed greatly, but as one of the songs we heard today said...when we all get to heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be!

Blessings,

Liisa

When We All Get To Heaven

Sing the wondrous love of Jesus,

Sing His mercy and His grace.

In the mansions bright and blessed

He’ll prepare for us a place.

Refrain

When we all get to Heaven,

What a day of rejoicing that will be!

When we all see Jesus,

We’ll sing and shout the victory!

While we walk the pilgrim pathway,

Clouds will overspread the sky;

But when traveling days are over,

Not a shadow, not a sigh.

Refrain

Let us then be true and faithful,

Trusting, serving every day;

Just one glimpse of Him in glory

Will the toils of life repay.

Refrain

Onward to the prize before us!

Soon His beauty we’ll behold;

Soon the pearly gates will open;

We shall tread the streets of gold.

Refrain

{{Liisa}} I am sorry that Dave has died so young but I know you will find comfort that he is with Jesus. Having just lost Max, I can attest that your memories of Dave will help sustain you in your grief.

Love.
