1950's Recipe - Smothered Beef and Sausage Patties


Smothered Beef and Sausage Patties

1/2 lb. hamburger
1/2 lb. sausage meat
1 1/2 cups soft bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
Half 10 1/2 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup water
2 tbsp. flour

Mix meats and seasoning.
Shape into 8 patties.
Brown on both sides in skillet.
Drain off fat.
Blend soup, water and flour; pour around patties; cook until thickened.

4 servings.


I think this would be yummy served with rice or mashed potatoes or egg noodles.
